Jennifer and Ariel,

First, a huge congratulations on your engagement! Thank you so much for your interest in our work. We’re excited to share more about what photographing together could look like for your wedding weekend on July 30th + 31st, 2027. Lion Rock Farm is such a beautiful venue, we would absolutely love to photograph your celebration!

Below, you’ll find a bit about how we see and photograph a wedding, along with a proposal for the weekend. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, we’re always happy to adjust things as your plans take shape.

We can’t wait to hear more about what you’re imagining and the atmosphere you hope to create across the weekend.

Thank you both so much for your consideration!

xx

“You represented us so completely, while still capturing all of our loved ones in such a meaningful way. It’s as though you were able to read our minds about the people who are most important, and made sure the camera lens found them through every possible experience of the weekend. And the portraits of us throughout captured such range of emotions. The wonder, intimacy, depth, hilarity! These photos will allow us to access so many parts of our weekend, forever.”

- Katherine and Brian | Private Residence, NY

“The real magic of your craft is how your photos feel. I think the word is transporting. The light, the color, the energy, and the movement. Each shot brings us back to the micro-emotions of every single moment of that day. The best day of our lives. That’s a gift we’ll never be able to thank you enough for.”

– Rachel and Conor | The DeBruce, NY

Creative Partnership

We’ve been married for a decade and collaborators for even longer. We work from two distinct perspectives, shaped by our individual instincts and styles, but always working toward a shared vision. We move through the day in constant pursuit of its truth, scanning for connection, anticipating the moment before it arrives. Our main objective is to make photographs that hold the authenticity of a moment and return its feeling back to you.

What does it feel like to be somewhere beautiful with someone you love?

We photograph weddings as places to inhabit rather than events to witness - paying as much attention to atmosphere, architecture, and landscape as we do to the people within them. The photographs become a record not only of what happened, but of what it was like to be there.

On Seeing People

An Observational Approach

With a background in fine art and creative collaboration, our work is rooted in observation over orchestration. Even when a moment calls for direction - adjusting a pose, shifting light, offering guidance, it’s done without asking you to perform. Our role is to shape without intruding to keep the image true to how it felt.

Next Steps.

When you’ve had a chance to look everything over, please reach out with any questions or thoughts, we’re always happy to talk through the details and adjust things so they feel right for you.

Thank you for considering us to be part of such an important moment. It would be an honor to document this next chapter of your story!

xx,
Marisa and John
